Bank of India has opened up recruitment for General Banking Officer or GBO. Check out the number of vacancies and approximate salary for the post.
Position, Vacancies and their respective Payscale:
General Banking Officer (GBO) – 1800 vacancies – Rs. 14.5k to 25.7k per month
There is NO WRITTEN EXAM. The candidates will be selected on the basis of a personal interview round. Eligible candidates can apply from 19th January 2012 to 31st January 2012. Interview will be conducted in either the month of February or March 2012.

Bank of India (BoI) is a public sector bank with Mumbai as its headquarters. It has been nationalized by government in 1969. It is the 4th largest bank in India with 3415 branches and 29 branches in abroad.
Am I eligible?
This question arises in every candidate’s mind. Check out whether you match the common qualifications listed below,
- Candidates should be within 21 to 30 years of age.
- Should have finished a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university, with at least 60% marks.
- The Average IBPS score should be 130 for General category and 117 for SC/ST/PH/OBC category.
Selection process:
Candidates will have to appear only for a personal interview. Based on the performance of the candidate in the interview, he or she will be selected by the bank’s higher officials.
The Application Fee is Rs. 200 for both General and OBC and NO FEE for SC/ST/PH category. Fee should be paid using the challan at any branch of Bank of India on or before 31st January 2012.
