Common Bank Test, the most awaited common entrance exam for almost all banks is now all set to get started. The openings for posts of PO/MT for large number of banks, that is, the Common Bank Entrance have been declared finally. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is taking credit of the national level bank exams for which the candidates will be awarded scores.
What else would be more amazing to hear this Entrance Exam is for the post of Management Trainee (MT)/Probationary Officers (PO)? The candidates who succeed in clearing the exam can go for employments in almost all the Indian public sector banks. They can join a bank either as a PO or as a clerk. Also, they can opt for posts like EDP Officers, Law Officers and Management & Technical Executives. There are good number of exam centers in every district in India.

You can register for this entrance exam from 9th July 2011 to 1st August2011. The written exam is scheduled to be held on 18th September 2011.
Don’t forget to note these eligibility Criteria:
• Age should be within 20 to 30 years.
• Having a degree from a well known and reputed University is a must.
Exam pattern will be similar to that of previous bank exams, that is, objective &descriptive type paper for 250 marks. Negative marking will be 0.25, for each wrong answer. Candidate’s mathematical ability, problem solving skills, logical thinking and verbal reasoning will be checked from the aptitude test. This entrance exam will also include a test for English language. Questions based on current affairs and general awareness questions will also be included.

Score cards will be sent to the candidates who appeared by the IBPS, which will have validity up to one year. The banks will notify the education, age, test score and other criteria for the PO/MT recruitment and the aspirants who satisfy the conditions will have to give their exam score and other related details to apply for the bank.
Application Fee is Rs.450 for general & others and Rs.50 for SC/ST candidates. The fee is to be paid at any of the above mentioned bank’s branches via NEFT and before 30th of July. After getting their payment receipt, the candidates have to submit their online application at www.ibps.in. you will get a registration no. and password through an SMS or email.
Note:
• Upload a scanned copy of your Signature and Passport sized photograph in the online application.
• Common Bank Test has now onwards become compulsory for almost all bank jobs in India.
