Himachal Gramin Bank has opened up vacancies for the post of Officers and Office Assistants. Check out the number of vacancies and approximate salary for the post.

Officers [scale 1] – 51 vacancies

Office Assistants – 67 vacancies

The written exam will be conducted on 25^thMarch 2012 for Office Assistants and 18^th March 2012 for Officers. Interested candidates can apply online from 17^th Jan 2012 to 16^th Feb 2012.

A little bit about the bank:

Himachal Gramin Bank is one of the oldest rural banks in India, established in the year 1976. This bank has been sponsored by the Punjab national bank (PNB). Around 450 employees are enrolled in the 128 branches of the bank. The head quarters if this bank is situated in Mandi.

Am I eligible?

This question arises in every candidate’s mind. The educational qualification differs for different posts. Check out whether you match the common qualifications listed below,

• Candidates should be within 18 to 28 years of age as on Nov 1st 2011.
• Candidates who opt for Officers post should have a bachelor’s degree in agriculture/Information Technology/Economics & Accountancy, Management.
• Candidates who wish to apply for the office assistants post should be qualified with any degree.
• Candidates should have good Knowledge in Hindi.
• Those with Computer Knowledge are Preferable.
• Candidates from all states can apply. Postings will be done only in Himachal Pradesh.

Selection process:

The questions will be of 200 marks. Negative marks will be provided for each wrong answer. The written test includes reasoning test, numerical ability, General Knowledge and General English, each with 50 marks.

The applicants will have to appear for a written exam, which is followed by a personal interview.

Application fee is Rs. 500 for general and Rs. 50 for SC/ST. The fee can be paid in the form of cash in any branches for Himachal Gramin Bank or Punjab National Bank on or before 16^th Feb 2012.
